Atlanta, GA, April 2, 2013 – Joel Brand has been named Director of Video Post Operations at SpotGenie Partners, LLC, a leading provider of digital media services to the advertising, entertainment and broadcast industries, it was announced today by company President/CEO Wayne Dykes.
In his new post, Brand will head a team responsible for assisting SpotGenie clients with the preparation of their spots for air including video transcoding, closed captioning, slating, editorial, tagging and quality control. He will report directly to Dykes.
Joel Brand comes to SpotGenie from a ten year stint at Outback Editorial (Atlanta, GA) where he was, most recently, Owner/President and Creative Postproduction Editor. Here he worked closely with the advertising, television and film production communities helping to launch award winning national campaigns for a wide range of media outlets including The Food Network (Good Eats earned both a Peabody Award and the Best TV Food Journalism Award), the US Marines, Walt Disney Parks, US Virgin Islands Tourism, Levi’s, and BlueCross BlueShield, among many others.
In making this announcement Wayne Dykes stated, “I have known and respected Joel for years. He is an experienced leader and problem solver with extensive technical and management skills. Joel Brand graduated from Georgia State University (Atlanta, GA) with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Communication where he studied Film/Cinema/Video Services. He also attended Emerson College (Boston, MA). He is married and makes his home in Grayson, GA with his wife Selena and son Dakota.
